Sportpxl automatically protects your photos in the public album. Photos displayed to participants are minified to 1000px — only the purchaser can download the original high-resolution files.

How it works

Until a participant has purchased a photo, they will only see a reduced version. If a participant attempts to download a photo by right-clicking, a warning message will appear:

It is prohibited to download photos by right-clicking. This is considered intellectual property theft. You must add the photos to your basket and place an order to download them.

Choosing a protection strategy

The choice is made in step 2 of the photo import process, in the “Minification strategy” section:

• Watermarked (recommended) — photos are minified to 1000px and marked with the SPORTPXL watermark. The watermark has been designed to be as resistant as possible to automatic removal tools, while still allowing visitors to see the photos clearly.
• Minimised — photos are only reduced to 1000px, without a watermark. Sportpxl cannot guarantee the protection of photos in this case.

⚠️ The Minified option is not recommended if you sell your photos — a 1000px photo without a watermark can be retrieved and used without purchase. Always choose the Watermarked option to protect your work.
