Anticipating communication before the event allows you to maximise visits to your album on the day and significantly increase your sales. The more participants know in advance that a photographer will be present, the more attentive they will be to finding their photos after the event.
Create the album beforehand #
Create your album before the event and set it to “Pre-registration” status — participants can register to be notified as soon as the photos are online, even if the album does not yet contain any photos. See the article “When are pre-registrations open?”.
Communicate via the organiser #
The organiser is your best channel for reaching all registered participants:
- Ask them to mention the presence of a Sportpxl photographer in their pre-event communications (registration confirmation email, newsletter, social media).
- Provide them with the link to your pre-registration album so that they can share it with their subscribers.
- If the event uses facial recognition, ensure that the organiser explicitly mentions its use in the rules or registration conditions — see the article "Managing image rights for a mass event".
Communicate on your own networks #
- Post an announcement on your social media accounts to inform participants that you will be attending the event.
- Tag the organiser in your posts to reach their community.
- Share the pre-registration link to start collecting registrations even before the event.
The day of the event #
- Display a sign or QR code at your stand with the link to the album or pre-registration page.
- If you are using facial recognition, inform participants via a visible sign — 'Your photos are automatically identified by facial recognition'.
- Offer a photocall before departure to enrich facial prints and improve identification quality — see the article "Using photocalls".
💡 The more pre-registrations you collect before the event, the more immediate visits to your album the post-event alert email will generate. This is one of the most effective ways to maximise your sales.
